my ReVoX A77 2-track tape recorder
the Story
The story about my ReVoX A77 is a simple one. A while ago I bought some Maxell reels with studio tape quality on them. I did not appreciate the 2-track recordings on the tape so I needed a 2-track recorder to remove the recordings. On an e-market I found this ReVoX A77, and while I had done a revision of an A77 before I decided to take a chance. My offer was accepted and on 18 October 2014 I picked up the A77. I was told by the seller that the recorder was left on the attic after the previous owner of the house had moved out. Three tapes and a dust cover came with it, but no power cord, so working condition was unknown. Overall the recorder looked acceptable. The price was reasonable, I even got a 10% discount.
